In my old company, I used to have a female boss.
Actually, she was pretty similar to a lot of the male bosses that I have. I think people like to make a big thing about the differences between male bosses and female bosses. But I think this is a very personal thing.
She was the General Manager of the company in which I worked. She was also a very kind person. She was very understanding; I think that sometimes female bosses can be very understanding and they can also have very high emotional intelligence. This is very important for people who are in management positions and who are managing a team. You have to be able to understand the emotions of all the people on your team and you have to be able to manage those people effectively.
Some people I find that in management, they’re not very effective, and they’re not very empathetic. They don’t understand people’s emotions and they don’t really know how to deal with different people on an individual basis.
I think this is one way in which a lot of female bosses often excel. So this is one of the strengths that she had. She was also very organized; she was very good at getting her work done. She was very professional. She was achieved a very high level in her industry and she was a very kind person to deal with on a day to day basis.
But I think it’s very important to get on with your boss well not to just have a working relationship with them. Try to see them as a friend or somebody that you can look up to and that was very much the case with her.
